I’ve noticed this sub can be quite…sensitive to criticizing the devs, which I’ve never understood. Almost all of the critiquing over it was entirely fair (obviously Frontier agreed it could be improved upon as well) and was constructive. I also have to say this whole hyena-drama was extremely one sided and over hyped. The flip side to that however, is that an extremely significant amount of the content added over the past two years is largely due to the forums community clamoring for this and that to be added in updates, or certainly animals being requested over and over again. I do agree things can get out of hand, there are certainly a lot of passionate and vocal people there. That’s just why they might seem quite different between the two. Reddit and other media tend to be a lot more casual, nothing wrong with that at all. I mean, one of my favorite animals is the Binturong (Bearcat) and unless you went to my alma mater (Cincinnati, the “Bearcat” is our mascot) or know a lot about animals, you probably didn’t know what it was before they added it in the SEA pack. Maybe not the best way to describe this, but…the forums tend to be the hardcore zoo sim fans (ZT 1 and 2, WP vets etc.) along with people who just generally know a lot about the animal kingdom and care about it a lot.
